The Bitter Truth: Death respects no one.

The truth is, we're all going to become food for worms someday. This is the fate for everyone regardless of rank or honor. A lot of people have seemed to forget that we all have the same fate which is death. You find them killing as if they’ll never die, they beat, torture and oppress as if they own life.

I’ve written this article, basing on the notorious thief, murderer and robber called Sobi. This was a guy who created terror amongst innocent people and boasted in it. He caused suffering and pain, stealing, and killing with impunity for almost thirty years. All because of a paper called money. But like they say, “he who kills by the sword, dies by the sword”, Sobi died by the sword, killed in a manner that’s so inhuman. He was cut on his throat like a goat.

A man who boasted in the wrongs that he did was found in cold blood like some kind of a street dog. The day he died, is when the nation knew that he even had a family that he loved. The late Prince Paul Kafeero said in his song, “murderers also have families that they so much love, but they kill not minding about the victims’ families. How they feel, and process the loss of their beloved ones."

The family of Sobi cried in deep sorrow and lived in grief, the wife lost a husband and the children lost a father. He created widows and orphans, the same thing was done to his family. The whole nation celebrated the death of Sobi. All the millions of money he used to steal and rob, all was left behind and he went to the grave empty. The grave, where he sent innocent people unwillingly, is the same place he ended up forever and ever. No one knows what’s happening to him down there, a place with no light but the smell of death and darkness.

Maybe, he is regretting his earthly actions, pleading for a second chance that he will never get. Indeed, better to die when you’re ready to die. There’s nothing more terrifying than being separated from God forever. The world deceives us that we know much and that we are geniuses but in reality, we know nothing. We love boasting, mocking, joking and undermining. But there is one moment called dying that knows nothing about fame, wealth or honor.

I need you to understand that life is too short, shorter than what you can ever imagine. Let's live a clean life, and live every joyful moment so that when we die, we don’t look back but just go forward carrying our moments we lived and appreciating life. Remember, we live because others live.
