Europe's upcoming war: A Child of war is calling for peace.

I am a child of war, born amidst the chaos of bullets and bombs. My existence is a testament to the devastating consequences of conflict, a stark reminder of the horrors that humanity is capable of inflicting upon itself. I thought that the world had learned from its past suffering, that the scars of war would serve as a reminder of the importance of peace. But alas, history repeats itself, and the drums of war beat once more.

To the people of Europe, who still cherish the right to live in peace, I urge you: do not take your freedom for granted. You have fought tirelessly to achieve this fragile balance, and it is crucial that you protect it selfishly. The luxury of peace is one that many cannot afford, and it is your responsibility to preserve it.

The storms of war are gathering, blowing menacingly towards your shores. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine may seem distant, but remember how World War I began – with two nations, and then spread across the globe like wildfire. Do not underestimate the destructive power of war, its ability to consume everything in its path.

None of you have experienced the horror, the terror, the relentless trauma that war inflicts. None of you have witnessed the sheer scale of death, the shattered lives, and the lost hope. But I have. I have seen the worst of humanity, the darkest depths of our capacity for cruelty. And I beg of you: do not let the recklessness of a few individuals drag you back into the abyss.

You have come too far, achieved too much, to lose it all now. You have freedom, peace, and human rights – luxuries many cannot afford. You eat, sleep, and wake up with hope for tomorrow – privileges I often struggled to grasp. Do not let the sacrifices of those who fought for your freedom be in vain.

Wake up, Europe! Do not be fooled by propaganda. The price of freedom and peace is very expensive. Fueling the war will only expand its reach, devastating more lives, and perpetuating a cycle of violence that will haunt future generations.

As Passenger's song goes, "Well you only need the light when it's burning low. Only miss the sun when it starts to snow. Only know you love her when you let her go. Only know you've been high when you're feeling low. Only hate the road when you're missing home. Only know you love her when you let her go." Likewise, you only truly appreciate freedom when you lose it. Do not wait until it's too late to realize the value of what you have.

Heed my warning, born from the ashes of war. Protect your freedom, preserve your peace. Do not let the ghosts of conflict haunt your future. Learn from the mistakes of the past, and work towards a future where peace is not a luxury, but a fundamental human right.

Let us strive for a world where children are born into peace, not war. Where freedom is not a distant dream, but a reality. Where humanity can coexist in harmony, without the need for conflict.

The choice is yours. Choose peace.
