Life is a collection of Moments
Life is not a journey, as people often say. Even fools make journeys. Instead, life is a collection of moments, and it's up to us to extract wisdom from them or walk away empty-handed. I learned this valuable lesson at a young age, and it has stayed with me ever since.
My encounter with Mrs. Nambi Kaneene was
brief, but it had a profound impact on my life. Her wisdom, professionalism,
and thoughtful interactions left a lasting impression on me. She spoke with
intention and deliberation, as if wisdom itself was speaking. Such moments
create memories that evoke emotions, spark appreciation, and shape our
perspectives.
The most precious gift anyone can offer is
a moment, whether directly or indirectly. It's up to us to cherish and learn
from these moments, for they are all we take with us in the end. I've come to
realize that life is not about accumulating wealth, properties, or material
possessions; it's about the moments we experience, the memories we create, and
the wisdom we glean.
Sharing moments with others has been a
privilege. I escorted Americana to visit his people, and we laughed and enjoyed
stories of their lives. I saw the Late Mr. Karim laugh with joy, despite his
advanced age, and it was a poignant reminder that life is about living, not
just existing.
Not all moments are joyful, of course. Some
are painful and hurtful, but our purpose is to live every moment to the
fullest. Someone once told me that the reason we experience moments is to
prepare us for the life beyond this world, where everything is infinite – love,
peace, joy, and living.
When we meet our beloved ones again in the
world of infinity, we'll share moments from our time on earth, laughing and
reminiscing about the good times and the bad. We'll talk about our first dates,
first kisses, and first hugs. And when we look back, we'll realize that our
purpose was to live, grow old, and die, leaving behind only the moments we
lived.
In the end, it's not about the journey or the destination; it's about the moments we create, experience, and cherish. So, let's appreciate every moment, cherish every time given, and live life to the fullest. For across the river, it will be a celebration of memories, conversations, and moments – no properties, just the legacy of our lives. Because Life is a collection of Moments.
